Sick Individualism
By Bp. Joseph (Ancient Church of the West)
Those that marginalize themselves, separate themselves from community, and insist on their own thoughts and interpretations above those within the group - These are those who could be considered sick, rejecting or rejected, without context and bringing no context.
The hyper-critical individual, who holds themselves above the context of culture, language and tradition, seeing life through a matrix of power, which they will not submit to or become a part of internally.
These people tear down human survival systems without realizing that they are doing it, making it impossible for things to return to a natural function without a great loss of information and a destruction of life.
But, this great destruction will naturally come as we become less integrated culturally and disintegrate into a society of free radical agents, with no common denominator other than selfishness, with no higher ideals, and with no truth other than consumption.
This kind of society is incredibly vulnerable, due to the fact that its unity is reliant upon outward enforcement, reliant upon a technological form.
When human ingenuity fails or life is challenged by an unforeseeable plague, there is truly nothing left, and culture falls back into a truly dark age of ignorance and despair.
The low-level civilizational continuity of village polity, associated through a philosophical vision, incarnated through village worship, cannot be maintained by the Western mentality, and so this “Golden Mean”, this low-quality existence tinged with wisdom and the love of family, cannot shine through and imbue humanity with a feelings of its depth.
A human, individuated, opinionated, convinced of its own worth, without family, tradition or religion, is insignificant, suicidal, without true ideas, and worthless.
