A COLLECT PRAYER FOR THE PLATINUM JUBILEE OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II

Queen Elizabeth II, Platinum Jubilee (June 2nd - 5th)

The Ancient Church of the West heartily congratulates all of our brothers and sisters in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth on the 70th anniversary of the coronation and reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen’s testimony of faithfulness, Christian Faith, and good order inspires all of us who wish for the full restoration of the British Church and the Anglican Communion to Holy Orthodoxy, and especially reminds us of the sacramental role of Christian Monarchy in our Holy English Patrimony. It especially calls our American jurisdiction to a re-appropriation of the theology of Christian Nationhood, Christian Kingship, and our understanding of God-given authority, all the while remembering and repenting of the sins and transgressions of our increasingly secular State. We pray that God would bless and protect Her Royal Majesty, give her health and a longer life, and continue to shine through her testimony of faithfulness and faith!

ALMIGHTY GOD, Who didst place the merciful monarch Queen Elizabeth upon the throne of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, and entrusted her to surpass all others in the years of her reign: Accept our heartfelt thanks for her service which she has done for her people in Thy Holy Name, acknowledging Thy grace to affirm and encourage her to continue doing so; Imploring Thy protection over her in both soul and body, and keeping her always in Thy heavenly wisdom; Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Who livest and reignest with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever One God, world without end. Amen.
