A LITANY FOR MYANMAR AND THAILAND

A Prayer for God’s Mercy in the Massive 7.7 Earthquake that Hit Myanmar and Thailand on Friday, March 28th, 2025

Let us pray

O God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, 

have mercy upon thy servants in Myanmar and Thailand. 

O God the Son, Redeemer of the world, who dost uphold all things by the word of thy power, 

have mercy upon thy servants in Myanmar and Thailand. 

O God the Holy Ghost, Comforter of the afflicted, and Strength of the weak, 

have mercy upon thy servants in Myanmar and Thailand. 

O Holy, Blessed, and Glorious Trinity, one God, 

have mercy upon thy servants in Myanmar and Thailand. 

That it may please thee to look with pity upon thy children suffering from the devastation of earthquake and calamity, 

we beseech thee to hear us, O Lord. 

That it may please thee to grant strength and comfort to the injured, the homeless, and the bereaved, 

we beseech thee to hear us, O Lord. 

That it may please thee to bless and guide all rescue workers, physicians, and all who minister to the suffering, 

we beseech thee to hear us, O Lord. 

That it may please thee to grant wisdom and fortitude to the leaders of Myanmar and Thailand, that they may govern with justice and mercy in this time of trial, 

we beseech thee to hear us, O Lord. 

That it may please thee to turn the hearts of many to acts of charity, that aid and relief may swiftly reach those in distress, 

we beseech thee to hear us, O Lord. 

That it may please thee to restore peace and order to these afflicted lands, and to grant thy people the grace of perseverance and hope, 

we beseech thee to hear us, O Lord. 

That it may please thee to have mercy upon the souls of those who have perished, and to grant them rest in the light of thy countenance, 

we beseech thee to hear us, O Lord. 

O Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world, 

have mercy upon them.

grant them thy peace. 

Let us pray. 

O Almighty God, who art our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble: Look down in mercy, we beseech thee, upon thy servants in Myanmar and Thailand, and grant that in the midst of their affliction they may find thee mighty to save. Defend them from all danger, relieve their distress, and restore unto them the blessings of safety and peace. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

求主赐智慧和力量给所有救援人员、医生和施助者，

求主引导缅甸和泰国的领导者，使他们行公义，好怜悯，以爱治理百姓， 

恳求主垂听我们的祷告。 

求主感动世人，愿意伸出援手，帮助所有受灾的家庭和社区， 

恳求主垂听我们的祷告。 

求主赐平安，使灾区恢复安稳，使百姓得着力量和盼望， 

恳求主垂听我们的祷告。 

求主怜悯在灾难中去世的灵魂，使他们在祢的光中得享安息， 

恳求主垂听我们的祷告。

求怜悯我们。

全能的上帝，祢是我们的避难所，是我们在患难中的帮助。求祢垂怜缅甸和泰国的人民，使他们在这苦难之中经历祢的大能和救恩。求祢保守他们脱离一切凶险，施恩医治他们的创伤，使他们重获平安和安稳。奉我主耶稣基督的圣名祈求，阿们。
