A CALL FOR PEACE FROM OUR PRESIDING METROPOLITAN: THE ORTHODOX ARCHDIOCESE OF AMERICA SPEAKS ON THE WAR IN UKRAINE

With heavy hearts, we witness the ongoing tragedy of war in Ukraine - Orthodox Christians taking up arms against one another, lives lost, families shattered, priests martyred and churches desecrated. In a world already darkened by sin, this fratricidal conflict is a grievous wound upon the Body of Christ.  

The Orthodox Archdiocese of America has issued an official statement decrying this war, calling all people of faith to repentance, prayer, and action for peace. We implore the mercy of our Lord, the protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, and the prayers of all the saints to bring this conflict to a swift and just end.
