A Song of Doctrine and Non-Thought
Let the Councils fall upon our own experience and our need humilitySaying that we do not know the things we do not knowBy allowing Christ to be what He is, as revealed by the ApostlesLet worship, prayer, and doctrinal studyBe what it always has beenThe unfolding of the Spirit to our heartsThe words that things are called, taught by a history of debatesAre only important to their debates, milestones along a roadOf clinging to mystery and hopeOnly by the teaching of the Holy SpiritThe pouring of love, of life, into our needy framesIs there any meaningWho debated who? Who won? All these questions are futile in the scheme of revelationChrist, our God, reveals the Father, and in turn is witnessed in all His glory by the presence of the Holy SpiritAll Church history proclaims, all the Law, and all the Canons,Shows there to only be one brilliant point of light in a world of darknessJesus Christ, both God and Man, Died and Risen, In Heaven and in UsThis is the Love, the Mystery, the undefinable Revelation of GodNo thinking will make it more or less trueThe words that symbolize His Gospel beam with radiant lightAnd, like a moth, and was made to follow the light, never asking "Why?"
