THE DRAGON AS A BIBLICAL SERAPH

The Egyptian Equivalent to an Angel, the Winged Serpent Called “Seraphim” in Biblical Hebrew

Do you know that the Chinese Dragon plays the same role on earth as Lucifer played before the fall in the Courtroom of Heaven? This is remarkable in that the Chinese Emperor, the “Son of Heaven”, tried to create a mirror of the divine council in his earthly court. 

The “Seraph” are the “Flaming Serpents” of the Old Testament, and the Dragon can be seen as a brilliant, angelic cover to the throne of God. This role is often seen in many ancient Hebrew “bullah” or “clay seals.” 

Although the word “Dragon” now has a bad connotation in Book of Revelation, it is this role, this perfect, beautiful, angelic role, that reflects the glory of God in the Chinese culture. 

Happy Year of the Dragon! May it reflect the glory of God, protect righteousness and truth, and proclaim the Good News of Christ’s glorious Gospel forever!

你知道中国龙在地球上扮演的角色和路西法在天国法庭堕落前扮演的角色一样吗？这是值得注意的，因为中国皇帝，“天子”，试图在他的地上宫廷中创建一面神圣议会的镜子。

“六翼天使”是旧约中的“火焰蛇”，而龙可以被视为上帝宝座的辉煌天使般的遮盖物。这个角色经常出现在许多古希伯来语“bullah”或“粘土印章”中。

虽然“龙”这个词现在在《启示录》中已经有了不好的含义，但正是这个角色，这个完美、美丽、天使般的角色，在中国文化中体现了上帝的荣耀。
