The Hope of Glory

A Romanesque Pantocrator from an Ancient Latin Manuscript, called "Christ in Glory" in the West

By Bp. Joseph (Ancient Church of the West)

“[You] to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27

Jesus Christ, God of God, Died Up-on the Cross, Descended Into Hell, Preached to those Who Died in Faith, and Broke Death, Making it a Passage Way to Heaven, and Rose Again, Taught His Disciples, and Ascended into Heaven, From Whence He Shall Return to Rule and Reign.

Christ Gave His Holy Spirit, Which Proceeds from the Father, to the Church, which Preserved His Teachings and Continuously Clarifies Right Belief within the Context of a Changing World.

By the Power of the Holy Spirit, Those Who Believe In Christ Can Choose to Completely Submit to the Will of God, Begin the Sacramental Process that He Commanded (Baptism, Laying on of Hands, Eucharist, Confession of Sins, Marriage, Ordination and Anointing with Oil for the Healing of the Body) and Take Part in the Uncreated and Eternal Energies of God.

This Means the Confession and Repentance of All Sins while still Alive.

This means exerting all energies for the accomplishment of God’s will, doing the works of Christ with one’s whole being.

Those Submit Their Lives to God Bare the Fruit of Repentance, Which is the Undeniable Power of Christ Manifest in Their Lives through the Works of Christ Himself.

Upon Death, the Ministry of the Saints Continues in the Power of the Holy Spirit, Perfected by the Love and Direction of Christ, So that, Fully United with the Uncreated Power of the Holy Spirit, the Saints Do the Work of Christ (In Intercession, Healing, and Protection).

The Saints, Working with the Holy Spirit, Always Work with Christ, Glorify Christ, Direct Attention to Christ, and Never Become a “Vehicle” or a “Carrier” of God’s Power, for They Only Do Their Work by the Power of Christ.

The Angels Do Not Lose Their Biblical Position as Watchers, Messengers, and Protectors, Since the Saints Main Function is Intercession and Exemplary Guides Into the Paths of Salvation.

All History Leads to the Return of Jesus Christ and His Saints to the World, where the Resurrection and the Last Judgment will be Held, and the Establishment of a Kingdom that Will Have No End, in which Christ Will be the God and Savior of the Universe Forever, the Universe Being Restored and Filled with the Uncreated Energies of God, Divinized and Functioning as it Was Made to Function by God Before the Fall (But Has Not Yet Been Completed by the Power of Christ, Awaiting His Return with "Groanings and Birthing Pains").
