BLESSED MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL

From the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in East Asia

As we gather together for the joyous occasion of Zhong Qiu, we send our warmest greetings and prayers to all our beloved brothers and sisters in Korea and throughout the East. We wish you health, long-life, wisdom, success, and the abundant blessings of heaven. May your fields yield fruitful crops, your families be blessed with many children, and may every household be filled with brilliant students, beautiful mothers, and hard-working fathers, reflecting the joy and peace that God grants to all His faithful.

The Scriptures remind us of the importance of thanksgiving and blessings. As we celebrate this time of harvest, we are reminded: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

"Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you" (Exodus 20:12).

"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth" (Psalm 127:3-4).

Mid-Autumn is also a time for honoring our ancestors, whose legacy continues to shape our lives. As Orthodox Christians, we ask God to have mercy on their souls and grant them rest. Love and filial piety still bind us to the departed, for "whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord" (Romans 14:8). May the memory of our ancestors be eternal, and may we always live in such a way that honors their sacrifices, with hope for a blessed reunion in the Resurrection.

In this season of reunion and thanksgiving, we also turn to the words of a Classical Chinese poem, reflecting on the beauty of the Moon Festival:

"The moon shines bright in the sky above,

Uniting hearts from near and far.

With wine, we toast to friends and kin,

In joy and peace, beneath the stars.

The cake is sweet, our bond is strong,

Together we belong, where love abounds."

May the light of the moon remind us of the warmth of family, the sweetness of shared moments, and the strength of unity, both with those present and those afar.

May God bless each of you this Mid-Autumn with joy, health, and peace. May your homes overflow with love, and may your hearts always be full of gratitude for the countless blessings He bestows. We pray that your days be filled with hope, your children grow strong and wise, and your families continue to thrive in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

사랑하는 한국과 동아시아의 형제자매 여러분, 풍요로운 추석을 맞이하여 우리의 따뜻한 인사와 기도를 전합니다. 여러분 모두에게 건강, 장수, 지혜, 성공, 그리고 하늘의 풍성한 축복이 있기를 바랍니다. 여러분의 밭은 풍성한 수확을 맺고, 가정에는 많은 자녀들이 축복받으며, 모든 가정이 우수한 학생들과 아름다운 어머니들, 그리고 열심히 일하는 아버지들로 기쁨과 평화로 가득하기를 기원합니다.

추수감사절을 기념하는 이 시간, 우리는 성경의 가르침을 통해 감사와 축복의 중요성을 되새깁니다.

"범사에 감사하라. 이는 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 향하신 하나님의 뜻이니라" (데살로니가전서 5:18).

"네 부모를 공경하라. 그리하면 네 하나님 여호와가 네게 준 땅에서 네 생명이 길리라" (출애굽기 20:12).

"보라, 자식들은 여호와의 기업이요 태의 열매는 그의 상급이로다" (시편 127:3-4).

추석은 또한 우리 조상들을 기리는 시간입니다. 정교회 신자로서 우리는 하나님께서 그들의 영혼을 자비로이 돌보시고 평안을 주시기를 기도합니다. 사랑과 효심은 여전히 고인이 된 이들과 우리를 연결하고 있습니다. "우리가 살아도 주를 위하여 살고 죽어도 주를 위하여 죽나니 그러므로 사나 죽으나 우리가 주의 것이로다" (로마서 14:8). 우리의 조상들의 기억이 영원하며, 부활의 희망 속에서 그들의 희생을 기리며 살기를 바랍니다.

이 재회의 계절에, 우리는 또한 다음과 같은 전통적인 시를 통해 가족과 친구들이 함께하는 기쁨을 상기합니다:

"달빛은 하늘에 환하게 비치고,

멀고 가까운 마음을 하나로 묶네.

달빛이 우리의 가족의 따뜻함을, 함께 나누는 순간의 달콤함을, 그리고 우리 모두의 연대의 강함을 상기시켜 주기를 바랍니다. 가까이 있는 이들과 멀리 있는 이들 모두에게 말입니다.

이번 추석에 여러분 모두에게 기쁨, 건강, 평화가 가득하길 기도합니다. 가정마다 사랑이 넘치고, 하나님께서 주시는 무수한 축복에 항상 감사하는 마음을 간직하시기를 바랍니다. 여러분의 나날이 희망으로 가득하고, 자녀들이 강하고 지혜롭게 성장하며, 가정이 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜 안에서 번영하기를 바랍니다.

中秋節祝賀詞

東亞及東南亞傳教區，東亞烏克蘭正教會

親愛的韓國及東亞的兄弟姐妹們，在這個喜慶的中秋佳節，我們向您們致以最溫暖的問候與祝福。我們祝願您們身體健康、長命百歲、充滿智慧、事業成功，並蒙受天上豐盛的祝福。願您們的田野收穫豐富，家庭子孫滿堂，家家戶戶充滿優秀的學生、美麗的母親和勤勞的父親，讓每一個家都洋溢著喜樂與平安。

在這收穫感恩的時刻，我們藉著聖經教導，再次認識感恩與祝福的重要性。

「凡事謝恩，因為這是神在基督耶穌裡向你們所定的旨意。」（帖撒羅尼迦前書 5:18）

「當孝敬父母，使你得福，在耶和華─你神所賜的地上，你的日子得以長久。」（出埃及記 20:12）

「看哪，兒女是耶和華所賜的產業，所懷的胎是他所給的賞賜。」（詩篇 127:3-4）

中秋節也是我們緬懷先祖的時刻。我們作為正教徒，祈求上帝憐憫他們的靈魂，賜給他們永恆的平安。愛與孝道依然將我們與已故的親人聯繫在一起，正如經上所說：「我們若活著，是為主而活；若死了，是為主而死。所以我們或活或死，總是主的人。」（羅馬書 14:8）

願我們的先祖的記憶永存，並願我們在復活的盼望中繼續以這種方式尊崇他們的犧牲。

在這個團聚與感恩的季節，我們引用一首傳統的古詩，表達對家庭與朋友的美好祝願：

明月當空照，

親朋共此時。

舉杯邀明月，

歡聚樂相宜。
