THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH

AI’s Response to the Prompt: “Illustrate what a godly righteous Christian homeschool family looks like”

I’ve recently been talking to several friends about having more children, and my encouragement is normally met with doubt and fear, accompanied with a belief that “I want my kids to be better off than I was growing up.” It seems like a noble aspiration, and many will tell you that having less children is a moral choice. I remember thinking through the same debates as a younger man, and only by God’s mercy do we have our number eight!

The truth is, we are headed for a very inglorious future of depopulation, economic collapse, and lonely aging. All around the world, populations are already shrinking and rapid aging is changing what countries can do in the short term. This is not just in the First World. Many Second World demographies are already collapsing as well. We are headed into an intense period of financial pain over the next fifty years, all due to the selfishness and fear of the last few generations of popular secularism.

This threatens to bring on the actual apocalypse. We will justify the creation of all kinds of artificial monsters when our economies collapse due to under population and rapid aging. The scorpion-horse-women-with-wings of the Book of Revelation sounds more and more realistic as we learn how Posthumanists plan to deal with this next crisis. It is very easy to believe that Satan will inhabit the AGI we’re creating, and lead the whole world as a false god, the “speaking idol” that awes everyone into submission, as St. John says.

For us who believe in Christ’s Gospel, this collapse is a huge opportunity, to both win the world for Truth and to serve our fellow man, simply by having a slightly bigger family and teaching our children our Christian values. We must keep our numbers up by having big families, not because we don’t welcome converts, but because converts have to spend many, many years working through the trauma of being brought up in an anti-family, anti-tradition, anti-God culture. By the time converts are truly useful to the Church, normally their family bearing days are done. We must courageously fight against the atrophy and apostasy that the last generation experienced due to the internet, which propagated secularist, anti-Christian ideologies like feminism, gender dysphoria, perversion and confusion about philosophical issues such as “Science vs. Religion” and “Evolutionary Theory.” We must also eliminate our dependence on YouTube, Netflix, and the countless other platforms that vie for our attention constantly. They satiate our minds with entertainment and destroy our sense of identity and community. We will have to become “Internet Amish” in order to survive and allow our children to have good childhoods.

The next few decades will be tricky. We’ll have to raise our children rejecting media and consciously fellowshipping more with our Church communities. Perhaps we will need to move, so that our kids can be around other children with the same values, get married earlier, and continue to propagate this transformation?

One thing is sure. We will have to be uncool. Controversial, even. We cannot keep the facade of being like everyone else. We’ll have to homeschool, excel, and be better than the world at reading, math, science and philosophy. It will take a lot of hard work and be very uncomfortable. We won’t give our children the consumerist, internet-saturated, inactive, self-satisfying childhoods that we had. We will give them something better - our attention.

And in the end, “the meek shall inherit the earth!”
